North Carolina High School Baseball - Swain County loses to Hayesville

March 31, 2023: Hayesville, NC 28904

The Swain County Maroon Devils baseball team (Bryson City, NC), was overwhelmed 11-5 in Friday's league outing with the host Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC)

The Yellowjackets now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Hiwassee Dam for a Smoky Mountain 1A outing on Tuesday, April 4. Hayesville will face a Eagles team coming off a 17-7 league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 4-4.

Next, the Maroon Devils face the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A outing, on Tuesday, April 4. Swain County will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Braves enter the outing with a 2-9 record after their 15-6 league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC).
