Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC), 11-0 in a league test.

With the win, Sun Valley upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to battle the Panthers in a Southern Carolina 4A test on Monday, April 3. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 6-6. Piedmont lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Weddington (Matthews, NC)

With the defeat, Marvin Ridge falls to 3-9 on the season. The Mavericks host Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC) to battle the Pirates in a Southern Carolina 4A test on Monday, April 3. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 8-4. Porter Ridge lost 9-3 in their recent league test against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC)
