South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, South Brunswick upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to battle the Trojans in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 4. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 4-6. West Brunswick lost 6-0 in their recent non-league test against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)

With the defeat, North Brunswick falls to 5-4 on the season. The Scorpions host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to play the Screaming Eagle in a contest on Tuesday, April 4. The Screaming Eagle enter the contest with a record of 8-4. Ashley lost 10-0 in their recent non-league contest against Topsail (Hampstead, NC)
