Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Comets confront the Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) in a Piedmont challenge, on Monday, April 3. Halifax County will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 8-0 league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).

The Cougars now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to George Washington for a Piedmont challenge on Monday, April 3. Patrick County will confront a Eagles team coming off a 9-1 league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-4.
