The Sumter Gamecocks soccer team (Sumter, SC), was nipped 2-1 in Friday's league outing with the host St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC)
With the win, St. James moves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Sharks host Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC) to battle the Braves in a AAAAA Region 5 outing on Tuesday, April 11. The Braves go into the outing with a record of 8-2.
In their next game, the Gamecocks battle the Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, April 5. Sumter will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record.
