Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northwest Texans (Justin, TX), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they host Saginaw for a 5A Region I District 5 challenge on Thursday, April 6. Aledo will battle a Rough Riders squad coming off a 7-4 league win over Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Rough Riders record now stands at 9-16.

With the loss, Northwest falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Texans host Azle (Azle, TX) to battle the Hornets in a 5A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 2-11.
