North Carolina High School Softball - Alleghany thwarted by Starmount

March 31, 2023: Boonville, NC 27011

The Alleghany Trojans softball team (Sparta, NC), was routed 18-1 in Friday's league test with the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC)

Coming up next, the Rams encounter the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Northwest 1A test, on Tuesday, April 4. Starmount will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 11-2 record after their 16-4 non-league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC).

The Trojans (0-12) will now prepare for their test against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears come into the Northwest 1A test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, Mount Airy was routed by East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC), 13-0, in a non-league test.
