The Burns Bulldogs the visiting Cherryville Ironmen softball squad by a count of 4-1 in Friday's league match.

The Bulldogs now sport a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Highland Tech for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A match on Tuesday, April 4. Burns will face a Rams squad coming off a 6-5 league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Rams record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Cherryville moves to 9-3 on the season. The Ironmen host East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC) to face the Warriors in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A match on Tuesday, April 4. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 6-5.
