Nevada High School Softball - McQueen nudges Damonte Ranch

McQueen Lancers (Reno, NV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Damonte Ranch Mustangs (Reno, NV), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers now sport a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alhambra for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. McQueen will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Churchill County (Fallon, NV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Damonte Ranch falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Atwater (Atwater, CA) to face the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 2-12. Atwater lost 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Alhambra (Martinez, CA)
