Germantown Mavericks (Madison, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Mavericks now sport a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to DeSoto Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. Germantown will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Murrah falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Germantown (Madison, MS) to face the Mavericks in a 6A Region 4 challenge on Monday, April 3. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a record of 12-7. Germantown won 16-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN)
