North Carolina High School Softball - Swain County bounces Hayesville

March 31, 2023: Hayesville, NC 28904

Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Maroon Devils now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cherokee for a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Swain County will battle a Braves squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Braves record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Hayesville falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC) to battle the Eagles in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-3.
