In Friday's non-league contest, the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM), by a margin of 14-4.
With the triumph, Kirtland Central moves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Broncos host Shiprock (Shiprock, NM) to play the Chieftains in a 4A District 1 contest on Tuesday, April 4. The Chieftains come into the contest with a record of 4-6. Shiprock won 21-5 in their recent non-league contest against Newcomb (Newcomb, NM)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Rehoboth Christian Lynx (Rehoboth, NM) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 4. Navajo Prep will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Lynx come into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 15-6 non-league win over Valley (Sanders, AZ).
