Spectators at Friday's league match between the Navarro Panthers (Geronimo, TX) and the host La Vernia Bears (La Vernia, TX), witnessed Navarro's softball squad tip La Vernia by a count of 13-10.

The Panthers now sport a 17-9 record. They play next when they travel to Cuero for a 4A Region IV District 28 match on Monday, April 3. Navarro will face a Gobblers squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Gonzales (Gonzales, TX). The Gobblers record now stands at 19-8.

With the loss, La Vernia moves to 9-15 on the season. The Bears travel to San Antonio Memorial (San Antonio, TX) to face the Minutemen in a 4A Region IV District 28 match on Monday, April 3. The Minutemen go into the match with a record of 0-11. San Antonio Memorial lost 21-0 in their recent league match against Cuero (Cuero, TX)
