Marana Tigers (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Nogales Apaches (Nogales, AZ), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they host Tucson High Magnet School for a 6A South challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Marana will battle a Badgers squad coming off a 13-11 non-league win over Cienega (Vail, AZ). The Badgers record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Nogales falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Apaches travel to Buena (Sierra Vista, AZ) to battle the Colts in a 5A Sonoran challenge on Monday, April 3. The Colts enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Buena lost 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ)
