The South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN) softball triumphed over the visiting Seymour Eagles (Seymour, TN), 16-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Cherokees now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson County for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. South-Doyle will face a Patriots squad coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Karns (Knoxville, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Seymour falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Heritage (Maryville, TN) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Heritage won 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Bearden (Knoxville, TN)
