The Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV) baseball trounced the host Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), 14-4 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Princeton for a Coalfield AAA challenge on Wednesday, April 2. Greenbrier East will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Sissonville (Charleston, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 2-7.

With the defeat, Summers County drops to 3-4 on the year. The Bobcats host Gilmer County (Glenville, WV) to clash with the Titans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 2. The Titans go into the challenge with a record of 6-0. Gilmer County won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against St. Marys (St. Marys, WV)
