In Monday's league match, the host Absegami Braves softball team scored a tight 8-5 win over the Holy Spirit Spartans.
The Braves (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Hammonton (Hammonton, NJ). The Blue Devils come into the Cape-Atlantic - National match with a 3-0 record.
In their next game, the Spartans confront the Buena Chiefs (Buena, NJ) in a Cape-Atlantic - National match, on Wednesday, April 2. Holy Spirit will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.
