The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) and the host Edison Wildcats (Richmond, OH), observed Weir's softball team get by Edison by a tally of 7-1.

The Red Riders (6-0) will now prepare for their bout against Cambridge (Cambridge, OH). The Bobcats go into the Ohio Valley Athletic AAAAA bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Cambridge tipped Zanesville (Zanesville, OH), 11-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV) in a bout, on Tuesday, April 1. Edison will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Tyler (Sistersville, WV).
