California High School Baseball - Long Beach Poly defeats Compton

March 31, 2026: Long Beach, CA 90813

The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits triumphed over the visiting Compton Tarbabes baseball team by a margin of 8-0 in Tuesday's league test.

The Jackrabbits now hold a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Woodrow Wilson for a Moore test on Thursday, April 2. Long Beach Poly will play a Bruins team coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Sonora (La Habra, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 10-7.

With the defeat, Compton drops to 9-5 on the year. The Tarbabes host Lennox Academy (Lennox, CA) to battle the Panthers in a non-league outing on Wednesday, April 1. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 8-3. Lennox Academy lost 14-0 in their recent non-league outing against Leuzinger (Lawndale, CA)
