The Valencia Jaguars baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Grants Pirates to 1 in the Jaguars non-league win on Tuesday.
The Jaguars now hold a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deming for a non-league test on Friday, April 3. Valencia will play a Wildcats team coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Hanks (El Paso, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-2.
With the defeat, Grants drops to 8-6 on the year. The Pirates host St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Sartans in a non-league outing on Saturday, April 4. The Sartans come into the outing with a record of 4-6. St. Pius X won 18-2 in their recent non-league outing against Belen (Belen, NM)
