Louisiana High School Softball - Hackberry sneaks past Starks

March 31, 2026: Hackberry, LA 70645

The Hackberry Mustangs softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Starks Panthers to 16 in the Mustangs league win on Tuesday.

Next, the Mustangs meet the South Cameron Tarpons (Creole, LA) in a C District 4 challenge, on Thursday, April 2. Hackberry will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Tarpons go into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 17-7 league win over Singer (Singer, LA).

The Panthers (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Lions go into the non-league challenge with a 14-9 record. In their last challenge, Lafayette was nudged by Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA), 15-3, in a league challenge.
