The Monroe Golden Tornadoes baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Baker County Bears to 2 in the Golden Tornadoes non-league victory on Friday.
The Golden Tornadoes (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA). The Bearcats go into the AAAA Region 1 match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Bainbridge ran past Port St. Joe (Port St. Joe, FL), 12-2, in a non-league match.
The Bears (0-3) will now prepare for their match against Westwood (Camilla, GA). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Westwood ran past Windsor Academy (Macon, GA), 14-4, in a non-league match.
