In Friday's non-league game, the host Carlsbad Cavemen baseball team scored a tight 9-4 victory over the Centennial Hawks.
The Cavemen (6-1) will now prepare for their game against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Centennial was overwhelmed by Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 6-1, in a non-league game.
