Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Columbus Christian Academy rams (Steens, MS), 14-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Newton County Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Generals host Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS) to battle the Rebels in a non-league test on Monday, March 7. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 5-3. Tri-County Academy won 10-6 in their recent non-league test against Tallulah Academy (Tallulah, LA)
With the defeat, Columbus Christian Academy falls to 0-1 on the season. The Rams travel to Columbus (Columbus, MS) to battle the Falcons in a non-league test on Monday, March 7. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 0-1.
