In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles baseball team scored a tight 7-5 victory over the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons.
The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their game against The Master's Academy (Forest City, NC). The Lions go into the Western Piedmont Athletic Conference game with a 3-0 record.
The Gryphons (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs go into the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, Burns tipped Draughn (Valdese, NC), 6-5, in a non-league game.
