North Carolina High School Softball - Burns gets by West Lincoln

The Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) softball nipped the host West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC), 5-4 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons go into the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge with a 0-0 record.
With the loss, West Lincoln falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Bandys (Catawba, NC) to battle the Trojans in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Bandys won 15-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Foard (Newton, NC)
