New Mexico High School Softball - Tornillo bounces Chaparral

The Tornillo Coyotes routed the host Chaparral Lobos softball squad by a count of 24-8 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Coyotes (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Alpine (Alpine, TX). The Bucks go into the 3A Region I District 4 battle with a 2-1 record.

The Lobos now sport a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Mountain View for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 5. Chaparral will meet a Lobos squad coming off a 19-3 non-league loss to Burges (El Paso, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 4-4.
