The West Wilkes Blackhawks softball team scored 26 runs and limited the visiting Western Guilford Hornets to 0 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, West Wilkes improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Blackhawks travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 8. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 3-0. Alexander Central won 3-0 in their recent non-league game against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A game, on Tuesday, March 8. Western Guilford will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record.
