The West Union Eagles baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Pine Grove Panthers to 0 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Walnut (Walnut, MS). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Walnut was overwhelmed by Alcorn Central (Glen, MS), 11-1, in a non-league match.
The Panthers (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Myrtle (Myrtle, MS). The Hawks go into the 2A Region 1 match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Myrtle edged Houlka (Houlka, MS), 11-1, in a non-league challenge.
