In Saturday's non-league outing, the Appleton North Lightning (Appleton, WI) basketball squad edged the visiting Hortonville Polar Bears (Hortonville, WI), by a margin of 61-59.
The Lightning (14-13) will now prepare for their outing against Superior (Superior, WI). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 17-9 record. In their last outing, Superior held off Oshkosh West (Oshkosh, WI), 47-41, in a non-league outing.
