New Mexico High School Softball - Highland falls to Valley

In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Valley Vikings softball team scored a nice 19-1 win over the Highland Hornets.

The Vikings now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belen for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 7. Valley will face a Eagles squad coming off a 24-3 non-league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Highland falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Hornets host Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to face the Pintos in a non-league match on Monday, March 6. The Pintos enter the match with a record of 2-0. Moriarty won 20-4 in their recent non-league match against Socorro (Socorro, NM)
