The Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) softball routed the host Irvine Vaqueros (Irvine, CA), 14-4 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Eagles (8-0) will now prepare for their bout against Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA). The Saints go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Crean Lutheran notched a victory over United Christian Academy (Rancho Cucamonga, CA), 13-2, in a non-league bout.
The Vaqueros now possess a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Laguna Hills for a Pacific Coast bout on Tuesday, March 7. Irvine will confront a Hawks squad coming off a 19-0 non-league win over Samueli Academy (Santa Ana, CA). The Hawks record now stands at 4-2.
