The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the South Panola Tigers (Batesville, MS) and the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), saw South Panola's softball squad nip Lafayette by a count of 2-0.

The Tigers now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Center Hill for a non-league match on Saturday, March 4. South Panola will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 20-9 non-league loss to Hernando (Hernando, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Lafayette falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Commodores travel to Southaven (Southaven, MS) to face the Chargers in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 7. The Chargers enter the match with a record of 2-3. Southaven lost 15-3 in their recent non-league match against Marion (Marion, AR)
