The Independence Patriots baseball team scored 20 runs and limited the host Glendale Cardinals to 3 in the Patriots league victory on Monday.
The Patriots (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Kofa (Yuma, AZ). The Kings go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Kofa ran past Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ), 14-8, in a non-league match.
The Cardinals (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Stampede go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Fairfax was overwhelmed by Kellis (Glendale, AZ), 18-3, in a non-league match.
