The Kinder Yellowjackets softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting DeRidder Dragons to 6 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Kinder moves its record to 9-1 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Barbe (Lake Charles, LA) to clash with the Buccaneers in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 5. The Buccaneers come into the game with a record of 7-8. Barbe won 10-5 in their recent non-league game against Vinton (Vinton, LA)

In their next game, the Dragons clash with the LaGrange Gators (Lake Charles, LA) in a 4A District 3 game, on Tuesday, March 5. DeRidder will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Gators come into the game with a 1-3 record after their 17-7 non-league loss to Westlake (Westlake, LA).
