Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Excel Panthers (Excel, AL), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to University Charter for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 7. Washington County will battle a Trail Blazers squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to South Lamar (Millport, AL). The Trail Blazers record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Excel falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hillcrest (Evergreen, AL) to battle the Jaguars in a 3A Area 4 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Hillcrest won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Escambia County (Atmore, AL)
