Spectators at Monday's league match between the South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR) and the visiting Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR), witnessed South Side's softball squad tip Quitman by a count of 7-3.

The Hornet now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to White County Central for a 2A Region 2 match on Tuesday, March 5. South Side will face a Bears squad coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Mountain View (Mountain View, AR). The Bears record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Quitman moves to 1-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Harrison (Harrison, AR) to face the Goblins in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 5. The Goblins go into the match with a record of 1-3. Harrison lost 10-3 in their recent non-league match against Clinton (Clinton, AR)
