North Carolina High School Baseball - Hibriten defeats Wilkes Central

In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Hibriten Panthers baseball team scored a close 12-7 win over the Wilkes Central Eagles.
The Panthers (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes go into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Hickory was overwhelmed by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 11-6, in a non-league match.
The Eagles now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avery County for a non-league match on Thursday, March 6. Wilkes Central will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.
