Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX), 6-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Veterans Memorial moves its record to 7-8 on the campaign.

The Greyhounds now sport a 9-17 record. They take the field next when they host Harlingen for a 6A Region 4 District 32 test on Friday, March 7. San Benito will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 7-1 league win over Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 12-5.
