In Saturday's non-league game, the host Headland Rams baseball team scored a tight 9-8 victory over the New Brockton Gamecocks.
The Rams (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AL). The Bears go into the non-league game with a 7-4 record. In their last game, Cottonwood tipped Carroll (Ozark, AL), 6-3, in a non-league game.
The Gamecocks (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Geneva County (Hartford, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Geneva County was edged by Carroll (Ozark, AL), 12-0, in a non-league game.
