The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) and the visiting Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX), saw Aledo's softball squad nip Argyle by a count of 4-3.

The Bearcats now sport a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marcus for a non-league match on Saturday, March 5. Aledo will face a Marauders squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Marauders record now stands at 11-3.

With the loss, Argyle falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Castleberry (Fort Worth, TX) to face the Lions in a 4A Region I District 7 match on Tuesday, March 8. The Lions enter the match with a record of 0-3. Castleberry lost 17-1 in their recent non-league match against Greenwood (Midland, TX)
