Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Mountain for a 7A Area 6 challenge on Thursday, March 10. Hewitt-Trussville will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Thompson (Alabaster, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Austin falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Black bears travel to Hoover (Hoover, AL) to battle the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 9. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Hoover won 9-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Gardendale (Gardendale, AL)
