New Mexico High School Softball - Capital nudges Espanola Valley

Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM), 14-13 in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Los Alamos for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 7. Capital will battle a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Espanola Valley falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to Capital (Santa Fe, NM) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
