In Saturday's league contest, the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) softball team held off the visiting Claude Mustangs (Claude, TX), by a margin of 12-11.
With the triumph, West Texas moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Comanches host Gruver (Gruver, TX) to play the Greyhounds in a 2A Region I District 1 contest on Monday, March 7. The Greyhounds come into the contest with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Mustangs play the Clarendon Broncos (Clarendon, TX) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 7. Claude will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
