In Saturday's non-league contest, the Forest Park Bruins (Woodbridge, VA) softball team held off the visiting North Stafford Wolverines (Stafford, VA), by a margin of 6-5.
With the triumph, Forest Park moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bruins host Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA) to play the Titans in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 8. The Titans come into the contest with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Wolverines play the Colonial Forge Eagles (Stafford, VA) in a Commonwealth contest, on Tuesday, April 5. North Stafford will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
