Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Waller Bulldogs (Waller, TX), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 15-0 record. They take the field next when they host New Caney for a 5A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Lake Creek will face a Eagles squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Klein Collins (Spring, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 14-5.

With the loss, Waller falls to 14-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Montgomery (Montgomery, TX) to face the Bears in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Montgomery lost 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Conroe (Conroe, TX)
