West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM), 18-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Navajo Prep for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 10.
With the loss, Las Cruces falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldawgs travel to Cibola (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
