The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Mae Jemison Jaguars (Huntsville, AL) and the host Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL), saw Mae Jemison's softball squad nip Pickens County by a count of 6-4.

The Jaguars now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ardmore for a 5A Area 16 match on Monday, March 7. Mae Jemison will face a Tigers squad coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Buckhorn (New Market, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Pickens County falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Berry (Berry, AL) to face the Wildcats in a 1A Area 9 match on Thursday, March 10. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 5-6. Berry won 15-1 in their recent non-league match against Fayette County (Fayette, AL)
