The City View Mustangs (Wichita Falls, TX) baseball nudged the host Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX), 7-6 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
The Mustangs now hold a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whitesboro for a non-league outing on Friday, March 8. City View will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Marietta (Marietta, OK). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-6.
Next, the Pirates confront the Tioga Bulldogs (Tioga, TX) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, March 7. Petrolia will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 2-4 record after their 9-6 non-league loss to Gainesville (Gainesville, TX).
