The Mary Star of the Sea Stars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host St. Bernard Vikings to 0 in the Stars league victory on Tuesday.
The Stars now have a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Paul for a Santa Fe game on Tuesday, March 12. Mary Star of the Sea will meet a Swordsmen team coming off a 3-0 league win over Serra (Gardena, CA). The Swordsmen record now stands at 3-8.
The Vikings (0-10) will now prepare for their game against Verbum Dei Jesuit (Los Angeles, CA). The Eagles enter the Santa Fe game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Verbum Dei Jesuit dropped by St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA), 3-0, in a league game.
